A delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) visited our university on Tuesday, August 25th, as part of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University Development Project.
The meeting, hosted by our President Prof. Dr. Yusuf Leblebici, was attended by the JICA Research Team, led by Mr. Hiroaki Motomura, the Minister-Counselor for Education at the Japanese Embassy in Ankara, and including Dr. Takatoshi Takemoto, Yu Tomura, Naoto Morimoto, and Hiroyuki Kanzaki, as well as representatives from the Japanese Embassy in Ankara and the JICA Türkiye Office.
The meeting included discussions on academic and administrative matters, including university governance mechanisms, student application trends, elements that differentiate Sabancı University from other universities, and incentives for attracting and retaining qualified researchers.
